Riding Program

The Royal Winds Farm Riding Academy teaches lessons by appointment 7 days a week on farm owned school horses. We also offer participation in local fun shows and tournaments in addition to our Academy and Show teams.

Royal Winds Farm’s instructors are dedicated to creating an atmosphere of learning and responsibility for all students, ensuring a positive and productive introduction to horses. Royal Winds Farm owns many seasoned lesson horses and ponies to babysit the smallest of rider and to challenge the most accomplished equestrians! Royal Winds Farm encourages everyone from 3-93 to come give horseback riding a try!

Introduction

Intro to Royal Winds Farm is required for first time students. It focuses on Horsemanship through 30 minutes of riding time and 30 minutes of horse care and hands on experience.

Introduction

Lunge & Bareback

Lunge lessons are 20 minutes long and the main focus is core strength, balance, and stretching. Riders are taught how to use specific muscle groups to control their own body as well as how to communicate with the horse. Call to set up your lesson.

Show Rider

Skill Building

Skill building is the next step for riders after completing their Intro class. Riders will advance through various stages of learning with the use of a variety of teaching techniques. Riders enrolled in our Skill building classes will learn to ride a variety of horses at the Walk, Trot, and Canter.

Mommy & Me

Mommy and Me lessons give you a chance to ride with your Tiny Tot rider and learn to care for your horses together for a great bonding experience and fun activity!

Mommy & Me

Tiny Tot

Tiny Tot Lessons are offered for children ages 3-5 who are in the beginning stages of riding. Once riders progress past this stage, they may enter the skill-building class. Lessons are 30 minutes and consist of 20 minutes of riding time and 10 minutes of grooming and horse care. Tiny tot lessons are a great way to get your young rider confident in the saddle.
